A quick favorite
Here is a favorite from my last engagement session in Buffalo, New York.
I can’t wait to show you the rest of the photos

Have a great day!

Have a great day!
I think I owe you all a major update, given that I have been working non-stop for the past few weeks and have barely had time to even check my email more frequently than once every few days!
My friend and business partner Leland came to town a week or two ago and we met my friend Brad for the evening.

On Thursday, I met my friend Frann for coffee and then I went to the George Eastman House to see the exhibits and was introduced to the lecturing artist, Ben Fernandez, by Tony Bannon, the director. I introduced my friend Natalie to Tony’s son, Brendan, who is a photographer in Nairobi, Kenya, who is doing work that is very similar to what Natalie wants to do. These are some of Brendan’s photographs. While at the Eastman House after the lecture, Tony introduced me to Richard Mackson, who has photographed sports for Sports Illustrated for 30-years and Mickey Osterreicher, who is the general counsel for the National Press Photographers Association.
I had an engagement session in Buffalo, which I will edit and put online in the near term.
I will be traveling again soon, NJ, Philly, NYC and DC, so will be out of touch for a while… I can’t wait to tell you why I am working so much
I had coffee with my friend Ryan yesterday afternoon/evening and we had an interesting conversation. One of the things that we talked about was being a self employed creative person versus an employed specialist… and he mentioned something that I completely agree with, but never realized until he said it, which is that as a creative type person, it is very difficult to just turn on the creativity, I can’t just wake up one day and say, ‘Today is a creative day, I am going to create,’ if the inspiration is not there, then it is not there. Ryan and I both talked about how some clients expect to get very personalized creative work delivered within very certain and specific time frames (as in edited photos, designed albums, photo session concepts, etc) and how it is not always possible to deliver within the M-F and 9-5 schedule, as we are not just manufacturers of mass produced imagery… our end result is a combination of the energy of the subject and my energy when working, and if either element is not in line with the other, the end result can either be delayed slightly (until inspiration, motivation and creativity exists), or delivered hurriedly with less than satisfactory results. I’m not sure if many of you can relate, but this is something that both Ryan and I seem to experience
I have started using Spam Arrest on a few of my email accounts, and I have seen my spam email drop from 1,200 messages per day to under 20 per day. I highly suggest that you look into it if you are inundated with spam mail.
So, who shorted Bear Stearns??? I guess I’ll know by whoever starts driving a Ferrari all of a sudden

I think Chase got what will go down as one of the best business deals of the century.
Haha, you’d think that as a photographer, I’d have more photos to add, but I just haven’t been taking personal pictures lately, I think it is time to change that!
Have a great day!
I got a last minute phone call on Friday telling me to book a flight to Philly as soon as possible. Less then 24-hours later I had flown into JFK and was on the train to Trenton NJ, where I had a friend waiting for me.
I photographed a presidential fund raising event, portraits for my friend Rob and his daughter, portraits for Alvin Williams (retired point guard for the Toronto Raptors) and his daughter and consulted for a really great internet company.
A few days later I was on my way home wearing a ridiculously huge 2XL tall NBA player’s sweatshirt… details to follow soon
Sorry, I can’t post any of the great photos from the political event or the portraits, but they are excellent.
Enjoy the new blog and have a great day!
